Hook, Line, and Conservation: Dive into the Ultimate Fishing Kickoff Weekend
J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center welcomes everyone to learn more about fishing and marine conservation in the state. There will be talks and discussions from marine experts across the state, covering various topics on waterway health, species populations, and fly-casting.
Culinary experts at the event will share with you the best and most contemporary cooking methods for seafood. Biologists will also provide the public with recent updates and current data on the aquatic species populations found in Arkansas. On the other hand, game wardens will also share recent and updated regulations on fishing to ensure no one lands on the wrong side of the law.
The Fishing Kickoff will feature unique presentations at the top every hour and include outdoor vendors selling various fishing equipment and tools. Participants will be provided free by the Game & Fish Foundation and stand a chance to win multiple door prizes.
Live music will have you grooving to the melodies and tunes as you learn more about the Arkansas conservation initiatives during the seven-hour event. There will be various food trucks selling different types of snacks.
