Autumn is upon us and its vibrant and warm hues of red, brown, yellow and orange are on right around the corner.
And with the fall season comes the unique cultural event where people go into a patch of field and choose their favorite orange gourd.
That’s right! It’s pumpkin pickin’ time!🎃🎉
Today we’re exploring the top places in NWA where you can not only select your squash but also enjoy other fall activities.
In The Pines Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch among the trees is now open for visitors this fall season. They’ve got long, tall, short, and small. Whichever your preference, they’re “gourd-geous” selection won’t leave you disappointed.
Check out their gift shop and grab yourself an “In the Pines” tee or one of their wooden game boards.
For $90 per hour, they also allow you to book the patch to yourself for taking photos.

The folks over at McGarrah Farms have been serving the community for literally 2 centuries! They started in 1824, and have been host to countless visitors.
They have blackberry and strawberry patches, corn mazes, beautiful sunflower and zinnia field, and of course, their giant pumpkin patch.
This year their “Fall at the Farm” event promises fun for the whole family. Aside from the chance to explore the patch and pick a pumpkin, they have several other attractions including a 6 acre barnyard play area, ziplines, bounce pillows, and more. Of course, that includes photo opportunities everywhere you go.
Reagan Family Farm

This Fayetteville farm was established more than 50 years ago and has been growing and serving safely grown produce ever since.
Last year in October they opened a “Drive-through Pumpkin Patch” where you could pull in, pick a 2 for 1 pumpkin and head on your way. You could even get honey and duck or chicken eggs if you wanted. They also have strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
While details have yet to be posted, we’re sure that they’ll have a great selection!

“It’s the Place to Pick”
This McGarrah farm has carried the pick-your-own produce tradition into the fall season with their Pumpkin Patch 2024.
Enjoy private barn access, staff guidance, and even a bonfire from 7pm – 9pm.
You can rest assured that the pumpkin you take home is locally-grown, fresh, and top quality.

Get ready for some fall family fun at Farmland Adventures!
Explore a 9 acre Giant Corn Maze or one of their other mini mazes. Take a chill wagon ride around the farm pulled by tractor. The kids can also enjoy the pedal karts. Heck, even the adults can get a kick out of that ride!
They’ve even got the animals involved in fall shenanigans with pony rides, a petting farm, and pig races. Now, that’s a hoot and a half!
And of course, grab your preferred pumpkin at the red building. Pumpkins are an additional cost to the farm admission fee.

Every year for the whole month of October, the youth of the Sequoyah United Methodist Church come together for a pumpkin patch fundraising event.
If you want to grab a pumpkin while also supporting youth events programs, conferences, and mission trips, consider paying them a visit.

Purchased in 1923 by Nazzereno Ranalli, an Italian immigrant, this 100 year Ranalli-owned farm is now in its fourth generation of ownership.
Farm equipment, feed and tack, fresh produce, they’ve got it all!
They serve gourds of all shapes and colors. If you get hungry, you can grab pasta or a scrumptious pumpkin or pecan pie to go or for your Thanksgiving dinner.

This maize maze was awarded “Best of the Four States” (Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas), and is in the top 10 corn labyrinths in America.
They may be called Exeter Corn Maze, but they actually started as a pumpkin patch. Together with your general admission ticket, explore 75 acres of “you pick” patch and grab yourself up to 4 large pumpkins!
Just make sure you don’t stumble into the maze trying to carry them back!
Edward Gay Family

While the Edward Gay Family Farm is not a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, it is a cute and old fashioned farm that is celebrating its 101st year of growing and selling produce to our community! They have families with 3 generations of lifelong shoppers at their market, so they are clearly doing something right. You can find them on the edge of HWY 412 E.
