Strawberries, Street Dancing, and Sweet Vibes in Downtown Fayetteville

You know it’s almost summer in Fayetteville when the strawberries take over downtown. May 17–18, the annual Strawberry Festival is back, and it’s serving up sweet treats, dancing in the street, and all the local goodness you can handle.

🍓 Why You’ll Want to Be There

Saturday night’s warming things up with a country street dance right in the square. Live tunes from Tara and the Gift Horses and The Pink Stones will have you two-stepping before you even realize it. Perfect chance to break in those boots.

Sunday is when the berry madness really begins:

  • 🎤 Two full stages of music, including crowd favorites Arkansauce, Copper Flats, and Ashtyn Barbaree, plus a full lineup on the Artosphere Community Stage.
  • 🐾 Dog Paw-ty Parade? Yes, that’s a thing. Led by the Nola Brass Band and organized by Hounds Lounge, it’s adorable chaos in the best way.
  • 🎨 Special guest alert: Meet Muriel Fahrion, the original illustrator of Strawberry Shortcake! She’s doing meet-and-greets and selling nostalgic merch all day.
  • 🥧 Pie Competition by Karst Bakery (this one’s serious—bring your A-game if you’re entering).
  • 🛍️ Markets galore: Shop local at the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, the Makers Market on Meadow, and Cureate’s Future of Food Expo.

And of course… strawberries everywhere. We’re talkin’ fresh pints, strawberry shortcakes, strawberry lemonades, strawberry EVERYTHING.
